An embodiment of the camera-based vehicle control system includes a camera configured to obtain image information, and a processor configured to: analyze the image information; if based on the image information, a divert condition is met to implement an alternative navigation route; if based on the image information a hazard condition is satisfied, to cause an output device to output a warning signals; and if based on the image information, a speed condition is satisfied, to modify a speed setting of the vehicle.
