Since then a lot has happened. As part of the moral and political spirit of those times, the US. and Norway prohibited all alcohol use. But, as the number of users of alcohol was too large and the secondary effects of prohibition on public order too disastrous, lessons learned the hard way forced the repeal of alcohol prohibition.
