Analysis on Temperature Control of Scouring-& Wearing-Resistance Concrete,Nuozhadu Hydropower Project

The open spillway of Nuozhadu Hydropower Project on left bank features high discharge,high head and high velocity,etc.How to avoid occurrence of cracks especially through cracks in concrete is the key and difficult points for the quality control of concrete.The key point for crack control is to control the highest interior temperature of concrete.In combination with features of the spillway works and through the quality control of construction steps,time for occurrence of the highest interior temperature of concrete is prolonged,the highest interior temperature of concrete is decreased,and requirement on temperature control of concrete is satisfied.Accordingly,risks on cracks in concrete are reduced.
