Three-phase electrofurnace for making lead crystal

1981
In domestic practice there is experience in melting lead crystal in single-phase electric glass making furnaces [I, 2, 3]. Such furnaces are simple in construction and reliable in operation. Moreover controlling single-phase furnaces in contrast to three-phase furnaces does not require a complex control system. However at an expansion of the volumes of the crystal electric melting contents and during the working of the large single power aggregates the use of single-phase electric furnaces is not efficient because increasing the power above i00 kW results in the misalignment of the phases in the electric supply system of the plant.
