Fault Indicator Based Automatic Fault Location System of Distribution Network

Seeking of distribution network f ault location takes a large part of distribut ion f ault handling tim e,to shorten fault seeking tim e ef f ectively is an important task f or distribution network autom ation.Thi s paper f irstly introduced the principles of detecting short circuit and singl e-phase grounding f ault using f ault indicator,then introduced a f ault aut o-location system with high ef f iciency and low-price,which adopted the com munication technology combined with low price f ault indicator.This system can report the f ault location in a f ew m inutes af ter f ault occurred,the tim e of f ault seeking is shortened greatly,and power supply r eliability of distribution system will be im proved.
