Ultrastructural Changes in Acute Myocardial Ischemic Injury
1979
The biology of the acute phase of myocardial ischemic injury is fairly well understood. In this paper, the effect of sudden occlusion of a major branch of a coronary artery on dog myocardium will be described. Special emphasis will be given to those events that occur at or about the time the injury to the myocyte becomes irreversible.
