The utility model is characterized in that the feeding device (9) is arranged above the tail of the channel and communicated with the channel, the pipeline (5) which is provided with the adjusting device (6) is communicated with a water cooled feed trough (4) in the channel, the channel driving device (10) is arranged on the back-end of the channel (3), the water cooled feed trough (4) has double sidewall. The high temperature flue gas in the furnace flows into the channel and through the water cooled feed trough (4) from top to bottom to preheat the steel scrap. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, small occupy area, few investment, short construction period, high preheating temperature of steel scrap and convenience of operation. With the improvement of the present steel scrap preheating device for horizontal continuous feeding of steelmaking electric-arc furnace, 65 to 100kwh power will be saved when produce one ton steel.
