Application of general anesthesia combined with cervical plexus block in the carotid endarterectomy

2010
Objective:To explore the application of general anesthesia combined with cervical plexus block in the carotid endarterectomy. Methods:From January 2008 to October 2009 in our hospital,40 cases of patients with carotid endarterectomy were randomly divided into the control group(25 cases) with general anesthesia and the observation group(15 cases) with general anesthesia combined with cervical plexus block, the effects of the two groups were compared and ana lyzed. Results:The awakening time of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, and incidence of delayed recovery was significantly lower than that of the control group, there were significant differences in two groups(all P0.05);but there was no significant difference in the incidence of respiratory suppression(P0.05).Conclusion:General anesthesia combined with cervical plexus block during carotid endarterectomy has satisfactory curative ef fect,it's worthy of promotion.
