POS tool - a public open space planning tool for the Perth and peel metropolitan region in Western Australia

Designed with a user friendly interface POS Tool has made publically available an extensive and high quality spatial GIS layer on POS containing a level of detail which has previously been unavailable for open space provision. It aimed to provide end users with the necessary high quality, standardised information required for examining the current provision for POS, spatial distribution and level of service of POS throughout Perth. Moreover the interactive features of POS Tool will assist in planning for the future provision of POS (including parks of all sizes and park amenities) and more effective planning across jurisdictional boundaries, in a rapidly growing and changing built environment.
