Tour guide system and method with translating function based on mobile phone

The invention provides a tour guide system with a translating function based on a mobile phone. The tour guide system comprises the mobile phone and radio frequency identifications arranged at the positions of scenic spots. The mobile phone comprises a microprocessor, a mobile phone keyboard, a subscriber identity module (SIM) card identification module, a voice signal output module and a display screen drive module. The tour guide system is characterized in that the microprocessor is connected with a radio frequency identification module for identifying information in the radio frequency identifications and a memorizer unit memorized with multiple-language commentary information of the scenic spots of scenic regions. The tour guide method comprises the steps of (a) setting the radio frequency identifications, (b) manufacturing scenic spot commentary data, (c) copying the scenic spot commentary data, (d) reading radio frequency identification numbers, (e) looking up the scenic spot commentary data; and (f) playing the scenic spot commentary data. By means of the tour guide system and the tour guide method, corresponding scenic spot commentary data are looked up and played according to the radio frequency identification numbers through the mobile phone, the effect of guiding foreign tourists is achieved, and language-barrier-free touring and sightseeing of the foreign tourists is facilitated.
