Efectividad de dos resinas compuestas fluidificadas por tratamiento térmico y una resina fluida en el sellado marginal en restauraciones clase V
2020
Introduction: Non-carious lesions in the cervical region are a common finding in daily dental practice, since they have a quite expulsive shape and margins in different structures, which makes it difficult to retain restorative material. It is important to highlight that there are few studies in the available databases, referring to the marginal sealing in class V restorations, which offer composite resins after undergoing heat treatment to be fluidized, being a challenge with respect to restoration procedures. Objective: To compare the effectiveness of the marginal seal offered by two fluidized composite resins by means of heat treatment and a fluid resin in class V restorations. Methodology: Experimental design. 30 biological specimens distributed in 5 groups were used: Prime- Dent® subjected to heat treatment, Prime-Dent® fluid, Filtek Z350 XT (3M / Espe®) subjected to heat treatment, Prime-Dent® (Control group), Filtek Z350 XT (3M / Espe®) (Control group) (n = 6). They were stored, prepared and restored, then the sample was subjected to a thermocycling process, immersed in 0.5% methylene blue for 24 hours and cutted to be observed using the Hp Scanjet G 2710 scanner. Results: the Filtek Z350 XT (3M / Espe®) nanorefilled resin was used, which had a better seal, differing from the group treated with fluid resin, which presented the highest degree of microfiltration. Conclusion: The restoration presented a better marginal seal at its upper limit.
