Printing apparatus monitoring method and system and printing monitoring server

The present invention discloses a printing apparatus monitoring method and system and a printing monitoring server, and overcomes the defect that a current printing monitoring server cannot monitor a non-network printer after a connected host is changed. In the method, the printing monitoring server receives identifying information of the non-network printing apparatus and identifying information of the host sent by the host; the non-network printing apparatus accesses the network through the host; when the identifying information of a previous host differs from that of the host, according to the identifying information of the previous host, the previous host, stored with the identifying information of the non-network printing apparatus, is indicated to delete the identifying information of the non-network printing apparatus, and according to the identifying information of the non-network printing apparatus and the identifying information of the host, the non-network printing apparatus is updated to correspond to the host. The embodiments of the present invention ensure that the monitor server can accurately send various commands regarding the non-network printing apparatus to the right host, and can accurately monitor the non-network printing apparatus which is connected to a changed host.
