Effect of Boron Drip Fertrgation on Growth and Nutrients Absorption of Bananas

[Objective] To study the effect of boron drip fertigation on growth and nutrients Absorption of bananas and provide theoretical basis for the high-efficient and reasonable application of boron fertilizers.[Method] A pot experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of supplying different rate of H3BO3 under fertigation on the growth,changes of agronomic characteristics,root system parameters and Absorption of mineral nutrients of banana.[Result] There were no significant differences between the effects of B application on leaf numbers and leaf width of banana,and there showed a significant difference on leaf length,pseudostem height and pseudostem girth.Appropriate boron application could significantly promote the biomass of banana and the growth of root(the root length and root surface area).The treatments of boron drip fertigation produced no significant difference of the N and P concentration on different parts of leaf,pseudostem and root of banana,but could significantly increase the B concentration in banana leaf and pseudostem.[Conclusion] Appropriate boron application would promote the growth of banana,increase the root length and root surface area,significantly increase the B concentration in banana leaf and pesudostem.
