The synthesis and structure of alternating copolymers of isoprene with ethylene
1984
The copolymerization of isoprene with ethylene has been studied in the presence of the TiCl4CH3COC6H5(iso-C4H9)3Al catalytic system. It was shown by using 13C and 1H NMR spectroscopy, that the copolymers prepared contain 88–93% of an isoprene-ethylene diad, in which the isoprene units occur in 3,4(39–44%), 1,4-cis (55–56%) and 1,4-trans (1–6%) configurations, being arranged in various sequences.
