A reflector assembly for a mirror system of a vehicle element, said reflector assembly member comprising: front and rear (512, 514) with an electrooptical means (516) interposed between the same substrates, said rear substrate a smaller dimension through a dimension of said rear substrate than the corresponding dimension across said front substrate such that said front substrate defining a first projection region (512i) on a first edge (512c) of forward said substrate extending beyond a first edge (514F) corresponding to said rear substrate, said front substrate a first surface and a second surface (512a) opposite said first surface, said second surface facing said electrooptical means, said front substrate at least one first conductive layer (518) disposed on said second surface, said rear substrate a a third surface (514a) and a fourth surface (514c) opposite said third surface, said third surface facing the electrooptical medium, said at least one second conductive layer (520) disposed on said third surface rear substrate; one arranged nonconductive (517) seal around a perimeter of said electro-optic medium and between said front and rear substrates; and a first electrical connector (522) in electrical connection with said first conductive layer (518) characterized by: a portion (520a) of flange extending from said second conductive layer to at least a second edge (514d) of said rear substrate , said rear substrate a next nonconductive track (514e) to said second edge (514d) and devoid of said second conductive layer except in said flange portion, wherein said seal nonconductive (517) covers at least a portion of said second conductive layer and at least part of said track, wherein a second electrical conductor (524) is in electrical connection with said portion (520a) flange of said second conductive layer (520), and wherein said first electrical connector (522) connected to said first conductive layer (518) in said first projecting region (512i) so that it is behind said front substrate, and wherein said front substrate includes at least one layer (519) concealing generally in said first projecting region of said front substrate, said at least one layer of substantially non-transparent masking so that said first electrical connector and said seal nonconductive (517) are essentially not visible through said first surface of said front substrate.
