Latest Researches on the Grain Refinement of Cast Magnesium Alloys

The latest researches on the grain refinement o f cast magnesium alloys have been reviewed. The Al2 RE particles are considered to be potent nucleants for Mg alloys, and they can be used to refine the Mg-RE alloy and the Mg alloy containing AI. More studies shall be conducted to expand their applications to Mg alloys.
