Severe Gastric Mycormycosis Infection Followed by Cytomegalovirus Pneumonia in a Renal Transplant Recipient: A Case Report and Concise Review of the Literature

2019
Summary Mucormycosis is an uncommonly encountered fungal infection in solid organ transplantation, especailly involved gastric-intestinal. Additionally, the most common and fatal infectious disease is CMV pneumonia, which may result in acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS) rapidly. Early diagnosis, active treatment and rational reduction of immunosuppresants are crucial for kidney transplant success. As described in this case, we performed successful treatment for both mucormycosis and CMV pneumonia and adjust tacrolimus dosage according to its concentration.
