Обзор современных стабилизаторов микробиологической устойчивости

2019
The article presents a review of modern antimicrobial preservatives authorized for using in dosage drug form technology. The nomenclature of preservatives is described and they are classified with respect to chemical nature, mechanism of action, spectrum of antimicrobial activity, and optimum effective concentration. Some other factors that can influence the activity of antimicrobial preservatives used in a dosage form are also studied, including the optimum pH and the presence of some specific adsorbents that can reduce the activity of a preservative. In addition, a thorough review of the most widely used and popular pharmaceutical preservatives is given including parabens, sorbic acid and its salts, and benzalkonium chloride. It is shown that scientifically substantiated choice of antimicrobial preservatives can provide drug compositions that are both safe and stable.
