A design method of a cascading multi-level inverter with minimized wide-range voltage distortion is based on a KKT (Karush-Kuhn-Tucker) condition method, the calculation amount of a conduction angle is greatly simplified, the calculation process is simple, online calculation is easy to achieve, meanwhile a fundamental wave voltage application range is wide, total harmonic distortion minimization of the cascading multi-level inverter in a wide voltage range is achieved, and the electric energy quality of grid-tied point voltage is improved.
