The method comprises steps that: a calling eMSC receives a short message from calling UE; the calling eMSC determines whether a SMSC address contained in the short message, such as a short message center address, is correct; if no, the calling eMSC utilizes calling IMSI contained in the short message to query a pre-stored SMSC address table to acquire an SMSC address corresponding to the calling IMSI, and the queried SMSC address is further utilized to send the short message to the corresponding SMSC, and the SMSC sends the short message to a called UE; if yes, the calling eMSC utilizes the SMSC address contained in the short message to send the short message to the corresponding SMSC, and the SMSC sends the short message to the called UE. According to the method, the calling eMSC can acquire the correct SMSC address on the basis of the SMSC address table, the short message is sent to the correct calling ownership SMSC, so failure in sending the short message is avoided, the SMSC address correcting rate is improved greatly, and the sending success rate of the short message is improved.
