Catalyst for Propene or Isobutene Oxidation to α, β−-Unsaturated Aldehydes and Acids

Summary A technique of preparing the Co 6 Mo 12 Bi 0.5 Fe 0.5-1.0 0 X catalyst for propene and isobutene oxidation to unsaturated aldehydes and acids is proposed. It consists in production of mixed heteropolycompounds and their subsequent decomposition. The catalyst structure was studied by X-ray, IR, UV, ESCA and Mossbauer spectroscopy.
