The Design of Simulation Platform for Ad Hoc Based Cyber-Physical System

The research of Cyber-Physical System (CPS) has become a hot issue, but the ways of test and evaluation are not mature enough. It is hard to find relevant materials about CPS simulations. The current research on CPS stays in theory, the experimental methods and results do not have a universal, authoritative, thus affected the CPS standardization and the process of industrialization. In this paper, a design of a simulation platform for ad hoc based CPS is proposed based on NS-2. Firstly, we analyze the advantages and disadvantages of simulation platforms which have been developed such as NS-2, GLOMOSIM to select the proper simulation platform to transform. Secondly, based on studying the functions and characteristics of nodes and controlling systems in CPS, some new types of nodes and controlling protocols are discussed in order to make up the insufficiency for CPS simulations in NS-2. Finally, we summarize and propose ad hoc based CPS simulation platform for future development trends and development tasks.
