One-side-protected polarizing film, adhesive-layer-equipped polarizing film, image display device, and method for continuously producing same

The present invention pertains to a one-side-protected polarizing film having a protective film on only one surface of a polarizer, wherein: the polarizer contains a polyvinyl alcohol resin, and is configured in a manner such that the optical properties thereof, represented by the single-body transmittance T and the degree of polarization P, satisfy the condition of P>-(10 0.929T-42.4 -1)×100 (however, T<42.3) or P≥99.9 (however, T≥42.3); and X≤12, Y≤15, 0.15≤(Y/X)≤3 are satisfied, given that the thickness of the polarizer is X (μm) and the thickness of the transparent resin layer is Y (μm). Even when the thin-type polarizer has prescribed optical properties, this one-side-protected polarizing film is capable of suppressing the occurrence of curling and defects caused by through-cracks and nanoslits.
