Determination of spermine by luminol chemiluminescence determination

A simple and sensitive chemiluminescence method for the determination of spermine was developed, based on the spermine-copper (1∶1) unsaturated complex formed by copper and spermine, which had a strang catalytic effect on the chemiluminescence reaction between the luminol and hydrogen peroxide. The detection limit is 4×10~(-9) mol/L for spermine and the linear range extends from 10~(-7) to 10~(-5) mol/L. The relative standard deviation of spermine was 5.55%.
