Thoughts on the History of 20~(th) Century Chinese Science

Oral history means to give an oral account of historical materials,and push forward the building of historical materials to serve the study of history of science,but does not mean to set up an independent branch of historiography.Oral historical materials belong to the main kind of historical materials of the memory type.The study of the history of Chinese science should make use of oral historical materials,and should also consult and verify with other historical materials.The scientists and leading cadres who have personally experienced the development of 20th century scientific undertakings and made vital contributions are key persons to be interviewed for oral history.Organizers and interviewers engaged in the oral history of 20th century Chinese science must all enhance their understanding of an overall view of China's historical development in the 20th century,and at the same time act in accordance with the historiographical standard during an interview.
