Effect of grating strength on thermal stability of fibre Bragg gratings

1995
The effect of grating strength on the thermal stability of optical fibre bragg gratings is investigated. It is found that the stability of a grating increases with increasing grating strength. Previous studies have not observed this trend possibly due to poor fringe contrast of the interfering UV writing beams.
