Effects of continuousthree-level nursing quality management on adverse eventsand severity among inpatients in mental health specialized hospital

2019
Objective To explore the effects of continuous three-level nursing quality management on adverse events and severity among inpatients in mental health specialized hospital. Methods This study was based on data of 202 adverse events from 26 wards at a Class ⅢGrade A mental health specialized hospital from 2014 to 2017. The regression analysiswas used to explore the effects of continuous three-level nursing quality management on the incidence of adverse events and severity. Results Continuous three-level nursing quality management could reduce the incidence of adverse events (R2=0.278, F=5.421, P<0.05) and decrease the severity (R2=0.73, F=3.872, P<0.05) with statistical differences. Conclusions Three-level nursing intervention can reduce the adverse events and decrease the severity. However, it has no idea effects on dealing with emergency events of mental disorder patients. Improvements of nursing intervention for patients with one-level or two-level nursing should be paid attention to when using this method.
