Laser Cladding MMC Coatings on Aluminium Alloy Surface

In this paper the current status of studies on the surface laser cladding technique for aluminum alloy and material systems of metal matrix cladding is reviewed.The microstructure and mechanical properties of laser cladding metal matrix composite(MMC) coatings are analyzed.The main problems of laser cladding MMC coatings on aluminum alloy surface and the corresponding improvement methods are pointed out Applications of aluminum alloy surface laser cladding technique is presented.The direction of further research is also briefly discussed.
