Simulation of ion conduction phenomenon in superionic material using granular molecular dynamics

2012
Superionic material is solid materials with high ionic conductivity. The simulation of ionic conductivity due to ion movement in crystal of superionic is performed. Pairs of ion with opposite charge sign are placed in two dimensional lattices. An ion is allowed to move between lattices under influence of external electric field and the electric field produced by other fixed ions. By varying vacancy of ion in lattices individual and microscopic view of the phenomenon of superionics conductions is observed and studied.
