Clinical evaluation of low level HBsAg and HBeAg in serum

Objective To investigate the distribution of the population with low level HBsAg,HBeAg in serum and the characteristics of their HBV serologic markers.Methods AxSyM microparticle enzyme immunoassay(MEIA) system was used to detect contents of the five markers in the serum samples from 7?900 patients and determine the patients with HBsAg concentration less than 5?μg·L -1 ,1?μg·L -1 .Results There were 6?162 patients with positive HBsAg,including 13.53%, 8.4 % with HBsAg less than 5?μg·L -1 ,less than 1?μg·L -1 respectively.And there were 4?401 patients with positive HBeAg,including 21.9% with HBeAg less than 2?nCu·ml -1 .There also had many special types.HBsAg and HBs antibodies positive were frequently present in those with HBsAg concentration less than 1?μg·L -1 .HBeAg and HBe antibodies were positive in 52.4 % patients with HBeAg concentration less than 2?nCu·ml -1 .Conclusions Enhancing the detecting sensitivity of HBsAg and HBeAg is helpful in diagnosis,treatment and epidemiologic investigation of hepatic patients.A define answer can be attained by MEIA in patients with nu causing high aminotransferase.
