СУЧАСНІ ТЕНДЕНЦІЇ ІННОВАЦІЙНОЇ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ В УКРАЇНІ

The article is aimed at identifying trends in innovation in Ukraine during the period 2010 to 2019 and identifying patterns and signs of their manifestation. The innovative achievements of Ukraine, which are presented in international rankings, are reflected. In particular, according to the value of the global innovation index in 2020, Ukraine  was ranked 45th out of 127 countries. According to the Global ranking of startups in 2020, Ukraine entered the top 30 countries. Trends and dynamics of innovative activity of both industrial enterprises and scientific organizations in Ukraine are presented. The results of innovative activity of domestic industrial enterprises indicated that during the study period the number of such enterprises decreased almost twice. At the same time, the share of enterprises that implemented innovations in the total number of industrial enterprises increased by 3.1%. A significant proportion of enterprises focused on the production of food, machinery and equipment. The analysis of the structure of innovative activity financing sources showed that they are realized mainly at the expense of own sources of the enterprises and the organizations (in 2019 - 87,7%). The tendency of significant decrease in financing of innovatively active enterprises at the expense of foreign investors is revealed. Businesses spend the most on machinery and software. There is a growing trend of costs for internal and external research. It was found that the innovative potential of scientific organizations is not fully used. We observe a tendency to decrease by 27.1% of such organizations. The share of financing of innovation activities in relation to GDP remains low (during 2017 to 2019 at the level of 0.3%). It is established that the development of innovation will be facilitated by the possibility of using computer equipment and its various software in the activities of organizations and industrial enterprises. Summarizing the results of the study, it was concluded that there is a moderate innovation activity in Ukraine. In order to intensify innovation, the emphasis on the successful implementation of the Strategy for the development of innovation, the implementation of programs and initiatives of economic development was made solely on an innovative basis, as well as the formation of a system of innovation culture.
