Análisis de la capacidad de carga admisible de los suelos de cimentación del complejo arqueológico Chan Chan debido al ascenso del nivel freático
2019
The CHAVIMOCHIC project, provides a benefit to society at the levels development, but a counterpart is the change in the properties of the surrounding soils, that generated as a consequence to these activities. Particularly, in this case, the affectation is the increase of the groundwater level, this causes that foundations of the structures of the houses, the temples, the sanctuaries, the ruins, the archaeological complexes, among others thins; They can be found prone to collapse due to the low admisible for the allowable bearing capacity of their sandy soils.
To identify the level of impact of this affectation, we collected: soil testing, stratigraphic profiles, records of groundwater levels and historical plans of the Chan Chan ruin; in addition, of the realization of a pit, for applying the methodologies of Terzaghi, Meyerhof and Hansen, determine the maximum value of the admissible load capacity of the soils influenced by the variation of the groundwater level. Based on these studies and analysis, it was identified that the groundwater level reaches 0.80 m deep, which means a load of 1.20 kg / cm2; On the other hand, the limit equilibrium rate indicates that the water table rises to 0.40 m depth, the load capacity of the soil is supporting 1.17 kg / cm2.
Finally, with the intention of perpetuating under optimal conditions the structures built on these soils, citing greater importance in the Chan Chan ruins, geotechnical solutions are proposed in order to maintain the water table at a depth such that it does not affect the structures.
