4 – Performance and Motion Capture
2010
Motion capture is the process of measuring motions in the physical
world and then encoding them into the digital medium. Once
recorded, motion can be used to drive a digital character or breathe
life into inanimate objects. Performance Capture is a term that
usually refers to a subcategory of Motion Capture where an actor’s
face and body performance are recorded simultaneously.
