Measurement and Optimization of Spatial Target Position Using Three Monocular CMOS Cameras

Industrial monocular area CMOS camera is now playing a remarkable role in the fields of the spatial target position and velocity measurement. To overcome the measurement nonlinearities and the process uncertainties, and to improve the precision of target positioning, a set of triangle combination target is employed, the calibration principles of Zhang is utilized, and the idea of combination measurement is proposed by using three focal spots as a cooperative target. The experiment shows the position measuring error can be decreased within 2 magnitudes, and the effectiveness of such methods is verified.
