Analyzing determinants for diffusion and adoption of solar power systems in India

2021
Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyze the determinants and propose a structural model for the adoption of solar power systems in India. Thirteen determinants are identified and extracted from the relevant literature. To quantitatively analyze the collective impact of these determinants, the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) method is used and a relationship model is proposed. Further, MICMAC analysis is used to find out the driving and dependence potential of the determinants and to validate the proposed model. The identified determinants and relationship between them would help decide strategies and policies for quick adoption and further improvements of solar power systems in India.
