Coercive field of explosion sintered Sm2Fe17Nx magnets

The coercive field of explosion sintered Sm2Fe17Nx magnet is analysed on the basis of micromagnetism. Results indicate that the coercivity of explosion sintered Sm2Fe17Nx magnet is controlled by the nucleation field near the grain surface. The large demagnetization factor originates from the strong strayfields of nonmagnetic poles, magnetically soft phases, and the very sharp corners of Sm2Fe17Nx grains.
