할머니들의 손자녀 양육지원 종료 경험에 대한 질적 연구
2017
The study sought to explore the experience of completed raising their grandchildren through the voice of elderly women. Among qualitative research methods, the ethnographic method, developed by Spradley, was employed for the study. The participants in the research were 4 grandmothers whose children grew up in elementary school and became taller than elementary school students and the data were collected through in-depth interviews with them. Two themes were drawn from the results of the data analysis: change of work value and cope with closing of the end timing. A category of the subject of change of work value were analyzed as an assessment of her own work when her grandchild was little vs when her grandchild grew up. A category of the subject of cope with closing of the end timing were analyzed as response to the closing of the end timing and anticipation for filial piety. On the one hand, the result of type-analysis as to the response to the closing of the end timing showed four different types, which were denial type, evasion type, recognition type, and acceptance type. On the other hand, the result of type-analysis as to anticipation for filial piety showed two different types, which were explicit association type and internal expectation type. Some practical and policy suggestions have been made for grandmothers who took care of her grandchild based on these findings.
