3D images: From theory to applications. Sponsored by SIG VIS

The use of 3D images as information bearing objects is rapidly becoming part of the next generation of web applications. From museums to criminal investigations, the 3D image is proving to be a powerful method of simulation for modeling objects and providing interfaces for deep data repositories.
