Clinical observation of Bushen Xiaoliu Recipe for 80 patients with myoma of uterus

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Bushen Xiaoliu Recipe on myoma of uterus.Methods Eighty myoma of uterus patients who were clearly diagnosed with ultrasound B examination were selected from June 2002 to June 2004 (50 patients were divided into the treatment group and the other 30 patients were divided into control group). These patients were administrated by Bushen Xiaoliu Recipe and Guizhi Fuling capsule, respectively. One treatment course lasted 3 months,and these patients received 1 to 3 courses. The symptom index, the tumor volume and the change of hemoglobin were observed. Results The total efficiency rates were 92%, 73.4% in the treatment group and control group (P0.05); and the treatment group was significantly better than control group. The results of ultrasound B indicated that the reduce rates were 0.812±0.54 and 1.11±0.68 (P0.05); and the treatment group was significantly better than control group.Conclusion Bushen Xiaoliu Recipe is a good recipe for treating myoma of uterus, and has extraordinary effect in ameliorating patients' symptoms, controlling the tumor volume and improving the value of hemoglobin.
