The American Institute of Architects Committee on The Environment

1995
In response to growing concerns about the impact of the building industry on the global environment, AIA formed the Committe on The Environment (COTE) in 1990 to increase awareness of the relationship between the designer and the built environment. As one of the fastest growing AIA professional interest areas, the AIA COTE now has 62 state and local components, and about 1,600 members.
