Smart video identification method for wearing safety helmet rightly

2014
The invention discloses a smart video identification method for wearing a safety helmet rightly. The smart video identification method comprises the following steps: video images are collected through the front end of a camera; the collected video images are uncompressed and decomposed into YUV (Luma and Chroma) images and the YUV images are converted into RGB images; the RGB images are decomposed into images in frames and multiple frames are extracted randomly, analyzed and compared; then a next frame of the image is compared with the previous frame of the image; through self-learning, the background environment can be updated in real time and moving objects especially people are extracted; when an object is locked, the grayscale of a human head is calculated so as to assess whether the safety helmet is worn rightly or not. According to the smart video identification method, whether staff entering an area near electrical facilities wears the safety helmet rightly or not can be identified conveniently and timely.
