Use of fatty acid lower in paint strippers

The invention relates to the use of low fatty acid alkyl esters of formula (I) R CO-OR in stripping agents, wherein R CO stands for a linear or branched, saturated and/or unsaturated alkyl radical with 6 to 22 C atoms and R represents a linear or branched alkyl radical with 1 to 8 C atoms. The invention also relates to stripping agents containing low fatty acid alkyl esters.
