A Study on Employee Satisfaction with Special Reference to Royal Enfield, Chennai

Abstract The topic taken for this study is “Employee satisfaction in Royal Enfield, Chennai Royal Enfield’ was the brand name under which the Enfield Cycle Company (founded 1893) manufactured motor cycles, bicycles, lawnmowers and stationary engines.  The first Royal Enfield motorcycle was built in 1901; the original British concern was defunct by 1970. The Enfield Cycle Company is responsible for the design and original production of the Royal Enfield Bullet the longest-lived motorcycle design in history. Employee satisfaction is typically measured using an employee satisfaction survey. These surveys address topics such as compensation, workload, perceptions of management, flexibility, teamwork, resources, etc.  The happiness that  workers feel when they are satisfied with their job  and work conditions, used as one way of  measuring a company’s success Flexible work  schedules have been shown to help with employee satisfaction, retention and  performance. The main objectives of this study is to identify the employee perception towards Royal Enfield, to analyze the satisfaction level of employee, to identify the factors determining the employee satisfaction, to provide suggestion to improve employee satisfaction The total respondents of the study were 127. Sampling method used in this study is convenience sampling. Both Primary data and secondary data are used for this study. For collecting the data, the research instrument used here for the study is Schedule. Likert 5 point scale is used in this study to find out the employee satisfaction. Chi-square, ANOVAs, Percentage analysis, statistical tools is used for analyzing the data.
