Larval development of the wrinkled swimming crab Liocarcinus corrugatus (Decapoda: Brachyura: Portunidae) reared in the laboratory.

ABSTRACT The complete larval development of Liocarcinus corrugatus is described, based on laboratoryreared material. The species has 5, or occasionally 6, zoeal stages and a megalopal stage. Morphological characters of larvae of L. corrugutus were compared with this and other species of Liocarcinus reported from other regions.
