Random laser in totally disordered 2D GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructures

We demonstrate random lasing emission in a AlGaAs suspended membrane randomly perforated with subwavelenth circular holes. Spectrally-resolved imaging of the lasing emission allows identifying lasing modes in the diffusive regime.
