Growth and structural features of Al2Ge2O7 crystals

Abstract Crystals of the compound Al 2 Ge 2 O 7 were grown from the vapour phase using AlCl 3 as transport agent in the temperature range 1000-800°C. Results concerning their morphology, chemical composition, crystal symmetry and unit-cell parameters are reported.
