Automatic mode switching method and system for lightening color sequential display color separation

The invention discloses an automatic mode switching method for lightening color sequential display color separation. The method comprises: calculating one color separation coefficient of a picture, wherein the color separation coefficient is used for estimating the impact degree of the color separation of the picture; and judging the magnitude of the color separation coefficient so as to decide to adopt a common mode or a color separation lightening mode. The invention also discloses an automatic mode switching system for lightening color sequential display color separation using the above method.
