Dynamic analysis of drought trend in Huang-huai-hai region based on MODIS and TVDI

Huang-huai-hai region is one of the most important agricultural regions, it is of great importance on the drought dynamic monitoring. With the development of remote sensing technology, regional drought monitoring based on remote sensing has become the mainstream. The temperature vegetation drought index (TVDI) datasets recorded from 2001 to 2010 in Huang-huai-hai region were obtained by using MODIS data, and the temporal and spatial variations in drought were analyzed. The results showed that the drought condition inland Huang-huai-hai region was severer than that near coastal area from 2001 to 2010, and the severest drought regions were mainly distributed in the places like north of Henan and north of Anhui. Meanwhile, with the passage of time, the drought condition in Huanghuai-hai region was reducing year by year.
