Experimental Study on Insulation Characteristics of Oil-Immersed Transformer in Alpine Environment

2019
The insulation fault of oil-immersed transformer at low temperature is caused by comprehensive factors. At present, it is difficult to find out the root cause of the fault. Therefore, it is necessary to observe the key insulation parameters (dielectric loss, capacitance) at low temperature by means of experiment and summarize the law of influence. In this paper, the capacitance and dielectric loss of oil-immersed transformer at -10 °C, -20 °C, -50 °C is respectively measured to obtain the relationship between the capacitance and dielectric loss according to temperature of oil-immersed transformer, which provides a scientific basis for the operation and maintenance of oil-immersed transformer in low temperature area.
