Ti(τ, p) reactions at 15 MeV (II). 50Ti(τ, p)52V

1972
Abstract The 48 Ti(τ, p) 50 V reaction has been studied at 15 MeV incident energy using a multiangle spectrograph. Ninety-eight transitions up to 8.58 MeV in excitation have been identified, and many of the corresponding proton angular distributions measured. The distribution shapes together with DW calculations allow the assignment of a number of new spin and parity values. The results of the present work are compared with other data on 50 V. The isobaric spin (τ, p) intensity relations are applied to O + → O + transitions to T = 2 and T = 3 states in 50 V, and it is found that the T = 2 level takes up less than 1 4 of the expected anti-analog strength. The O + → 1 + ( τ , p) transition strength is found to be ≈ 3 times larger than possible within an f-p configuration space.
